where is the option ...

... to reject the item The Black Spear Active: Offer to bind an ally for the remainder of the game, becoming Oathsworn Allies. Oathsworn empowers you both while near one another. *This item is only available on Kalista

while this may be great for people that play together all the time or are voice together it sucks in random normal. I personally hate when I get ulted from out of the blue and end up somewhere I was not trying to move to. Also I play mostly squishies as support and have no idea why I would want to jump in the midst of enemies and die to maybe -read usually not- get an assist from it.

I have warned several kalistas that I would abandon them if they bound me. All but one ignored me then got mad when I kept my word and abandoned them. the description says "offer" implying I have an option to reject, I have never seen an option to reject.

When Kalista first came out and I used her, I tried this thing called communication. I would ask my supports if they had already played with another Kalista and if not then I would give them a quick run down of how her ult works. I would also tell every one of my supports that I would ping them somehow, either with the 'assist ping' or 'on the way' ping, and that would mean I was about to use my ult. I would also tell them that I would be using my ult to save them from immediate danger so that they could launch themselves away. It was more work on my part but it worked effectively for both of us.

By you denying your team's Kalista then you are denying two of her skills, her ult and her W. You are restricting her from utilizing her full potential and basically shutting her down before the game even begins, something I doubt your team will praise you for. Next time you're paired with a Kalista try talking to that person, set something up so that you're both made aware of what the other person is going/wants to do. If not then you're repeating the cycle and getting frustrated with other people when you should be well aware of your own mistakes. And if the Kalista refuses to help you in any way then by all means, try any other method you wish. Just try to find some common ground with someone before you go and ruin your team's game.

as I stated it may be good with ones you know... HOWEVER I do not like it and am ASKING where is the option to deny it.. the description implies there is one. you can be bound as much as you like idgaf. but I do not like it and your bs will not change my mind.

Personally, I feel like activating the item should just toss it on the ground nearby. If she uses it "on" an ally, they get a big obvious indicator going "Hey! Kalista wants to bind with you!" Regardless of that, though, people should only actually bond with her if they click on the spear. I mean, she can already purchase another one if she needs to, and hovering your cursor over the thing shows the same Interact icon as Thresh's lantern and the Dominion towers. Kalista's main thematic niche is her reliance on her Soulbound, so she's a champion who encourages communication. Forcing someone into a pact of "you can interrupt me any time you want" without telling them first is just kind of obnoxious.

Even more frustrating when you have a Kalista top who binds the jungler. 90% of the time she ults is so she can steal a kill from you while you're being pulled in.
