As someone who spends a lot of time documenting League on the wiki, I completely support this. Often, when a new champion comes out, or when one gets reworked, it's impossible to list the range and speed of their abilities at the start, and what values do get listed are frequently just educated guesses. If Riot were to officially list those stats, there would be no room for error.
Additionally (or alternatively), it might be worth adding some sort of benchmarking tool or map on the PBE: sites and channels like Surrender@20, LoLeaks, LoLKing, SkinSpotlights etc. always have to jump through an unnecessary amount of hoops to showcase new champions, items, skins and the like, and having a custom mode on the PBE designed just for them, which would give them abilities similar to that of a developer console (e.g. they'd be able to give/retract themselves gold and experience, refresh cooldowns and timers, directly activate quotes and animations, access more technical information on abilities such as their ranges and speeds, etc.), would make it far easier for them to pull all the data they can on new releases, as well as display them much more efficiently.
