A minor issue?

Any possible way we can cancel his q charge early rito? As it stands as of the moment, there are two options with xerath when he casts his q. The first is to allow it to fully charge and cancel out normally walking away from it and the second is casting that attack animation. Would it be possible to cancel his charge midway through without casting the attack? i've found in moments where a gank is occuring and i'm casting it i'm stuck doing a cast that is slowing me down or inhibits me from reacting quicker.
