can you remove the damage nerf on the spin-to-win for jungle monsters like you did for hec? I wanna play him in the jungle =x

If they removed damage reduction to monsters on his E, its mana cost would be increased, and it's already hard to manage mana on Garen.

Garen rapidly spins his sword around his body for 3 seconds, dealing physical damage each second to enemies within range. Minions take 75% damage from Judgment. Garen ignores unit collision while spinning, but moves 20% slower when traveling through minions.

They already removed the monster reduction like a year ago

Maybe if he could clear the jungle he could start living there to serve out JUSTICE from the bushes. +1

THERE ISN'T ANY DAMAGE REDUCTION TO MONSTERS, JUST MINIONS.

Don't worry bro, this chance was already done on December 13, 2013, You're only 1 and half years late :3

he already deals full damage to jungle monsters as far as i understand. the tooltip specifically states the reduced damage is towards minions. and riot usually separates minions and monsters. it used to be reduced damage to both, but they removed it.

edit.: shend

What they actually need to do is make his passive immune to monsters from level 1. That way he would be a jungler with great sustain, but still poor early clear.

UPfreely6/6/2015, 6:57:26 PM3 votes

what he needs is his passive to not get broken from jungle monsters

WyvernEgg6/6/2015, 3:46:41 PM2 votes

I feel like there was a good reason to not have him in the jungle. I forgot why. Probably has something to do with insane clear times. Besides it's totally already possible to jungle with him.

i already play jungle Garen...

Kingsgrave6/6/2015, 9:27:49 PM1 votes

Technically Hecarim got the Garen treatment.

Garen jungle is pretty damn good even with the nerf. He is in a really good spot, he needs no buffs of any short. Just buy cinderhulk and max your E first, only the first couple of clears will be difficult. Going 40% cdr is the best way to do it, prefferably have 10% already from your runes and go 10/20/0 in your masteries. That way your ultimate will be in a 30-40 second cooldown. Not to mention it actualy does reduced damage ONLY to minions, not jungle monsters, as many others have highlighted.

I think his passive buff was enough bonus in the jungle. Not that he has any damage reduction on monsters anymore.

Akesgeroth6/7/2015, 2:33:28 AM1 votes

As much as I love Garen, no.

  1. Not everyone needs to be a viable jungler.

  2. Garen is in a good place and this might push him over into OP territory.

Seriously, Garen is already absurdly strong. He's really goddam tanky, deals massive damage and has really good mobility all things considered. The only champions who can take him late game are kiting carries like Lucian, Kalista, Ashe and Vayne. And even then, Garen better not get the jump on them or they're fucked.

Judgment RANGE: 300 COOLDOWN: 13 / 12 / 11 / 10 / 9 Judgment

Active: Garen rapidly spins his sword around his body for 3 seconds, dealing physical damage each second to enemies within range. Minions take 75% damage from Judgment. Garen ignores unit collision while spinning, but moves 20% slower when traveling through minions.

Physical Damage per Second: 20 / 45 / 70 / 95 / 120 (+ 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 / 110% AD)

Total Physical Damage: 60 / 135 / 210 / 285 / 360 (+ 210 / 240 / 270 / 300 / 330% AD)

Judgment can critically strike, multiplying the total AD component by (Garen's critical strike damage modifier − 50%).

Damage per second with Base Crit Modifier: 20 / 45 / 70 / 95 / 120 (+ 105 / 120 / 135 / 150 / 165% AD)

Well played good sir. Well played.

Focus Teemo6/7/2015, 8:02:37 AM1 votes

I wonder if Gangplank knows anything about this "_Hec _rum" fellow OP is talking about?

I'm sorry i had to.

Joe Dredd6/6/2015, 4:30:51 PM1 votes

nerf his q to compensate then pls

P0IS0N IVY6/7/2015, 5:11:45 PM1 votes

Garen's spinning only does decreased damage to minions as far as I know.

Also he's too strong right now. I don't feel like he should be given buffs.
