Recommendations from former Bard OTP

As a preface, I used to play Bard almost exclusively, the game became about playing Bard for me, I loved him so much. More recently, with the meta, he just doesn't feel the same anymore. Like many champions, a meta of extreme damage just doesn't feel good with Bard, imho. A large culprit of this is his W: It ends up feeling extremely superfluous. It works for a few levels in lane, but the heals become so meaningless into later game that most bards don't even level it (I still do, preferring the higher heal over the quicker movespeed on E).

To solve this (without trying to pump too much power into Bard) I recommend that his W be changed to the following:

Caretaker's Shrine: Cost: 60 mana + 1 charge Recharge rate: (13/12/11/10/9) Maximum Charges: (1/2/2/3/3) Active:Bard conjures a shrine at the target location that builds up in power over 10 seconds, up to 3 shrines active at once, which remain until consumed when a champion steps on them.

If the champion was an ally or Bard himself, they are healed by (30 - 200 based on bard's level) and gain 50% bonus movement speed that decays over 1.5 seconds. If the shrine has been fully charged, its power is increased by 50%.

Effects these changes will have: -Placing the shrines on a charge system will allow Bard to place all three in rapid succession in later game, which will allow them to have a meaningful impact when setting up teamfights/objectives, rather than the gated ~30 seconds to fully charge all three shrines -Putting the shrines on a static power based on bard's level prevents them from being abused early game, and allows for them to be somewhat powerful even if Bard doesn't level them second. -Having a higher base CD that reduces with skill level compensats for the increased power the shrines would get as a 1 point skill -Quickly setting up all 3 shrines later in game would help bard realize the theme of enchanter, instead of the theme of CC/burst he's established at the moment. -Polarizing it, where it only gives an increase when fully charged, helps solidify the 2 states better, and incentivises waiting for it to charge. -Opens Bard up to throwing an additional point in W early for the 2 charge, then using it to roam more effectively

I wouldn't be opposed to testing it at least.
