Every time I play my ping will spike around 100-130 for long periods of time

Every time I play league now my ping which is usually 22 has been going up to 100+ on and off for all of my games. I don't think it's my wi-fi as I've tested it on other games and my ping is fine. It must be my connection with the league servers. I'm playing on mac with a wireless connection. Any ideas for a fix?
