Demoted again, thanks to a shit premade
Matched with a 4 man premade. Our top lane irelia went 0/12/6. After her first 5 deaths or so, she had only a cutlass built, and continued rushing for botrk, despite the fact that she was not being handily outdamaged by a full tank maokai (why she was building botrk in the first place I do not know). Then, immediately after finishing the botrk (at around 25 minutes) she started up on her trinity force. By the time the game ended at ~40 mins, she had completed not a single tank item, and was getting routinely melted at the outset of virtually every fight. The mid lane lissandra seemed pretty good at first. She went pretty even with zed, albeit with some help from me. However, once the team fights started, she would glacial path into the MIDDLE OF LITERALLY ALL 5 ENEMIES and die before even being able to cast a single other ability. This happened at the start of literally every single fight, I shit you not. I tried to tell her not to go in like this, to either sit back and wait for me (full tank sejuani) to initiate, or to just peel the zed off of our vayne. She actually refused to do so in chat, stating that her tactics were sound and that it was my fault she was dying (classic, blame the solo player).
My only conclusion is that these two were boosted or in the process of being boosted. And when I checked their stats on OP.GG, it was confirmed. Both of these two had "too many duo games" to calculate an accurate mmr approximation. The irelia was listed as silver 4 (playing in a mid gold level game) with an mmr of 1480 with an average KDA of 1.5 and a 30% kill participation. Just wow. For reference, my kda is currently 3.96 with a 60% kill participation.
This is not the first time I've been dropped back into gold 4 at the hands of shitty DQ premades, but at this point, it might actually be the last. I seriously cannot deal with this anymore. I am playing out of my mind right now (14/4/12 on sejuani jungle, no kill stealing, btw just a lot of cleaning up fights and securing kills with the DoT on my w) and I have nothing to show for it. I was plat last season, I earned that by playing a shitload of games in soloQ. I never had anyone boosting me, I never even duoed, as I wanted the satisfaction of getting it on my own. Now, I'm forced to play here, where I have games that I hard carry that end in losses, and I really don't know how I could've personally done anything to change the outcome. Whether I win or lose seems ENTIRELY dependent on matchmaking now. If I get the shitty boosted DQers, I lose. If the enemy team gets the Diamond smurf (which is increasingly common, as diamond players are creating smurfs in huge numbers to escape the grim reality that is DQ in high elos), I lose. Combine that with the slightly lower win rate due to facing premades and you have an impossible situation for anyone who either prefers or is limited to solo queue.
Fix your game Riot. I'm a 5-year player, and this isn't the League of Legends that I downloaded that fateful night in my sophomore dorm room.
end rant
Edit: Sorry for the salt, this is still pretty fresh and I've just managed to calm down enough to sit back down at my computer. But seriously though, this kind of shit is now the norm in ranked. Every single day, I deal with no fewer than 5 people that I suspect of being boosted or are boosters/smurfs. And I'm not assuming that people are boosted just because they are playing poorly, but because they seem to either not understand the game. They don't know how their abilities work, they don't know the correct item builds for their champs, they don't understand the importance of warding and map awareness, and just generally have 0 game sense (like continuing to rush damage items and dive the enemy laner when they are 5 kills and 2 levels down kinda stuff). These are not "mistakes" that gold level players make. Sure, I get tunnel vision from time to time and dive when I really shouldn't, but when I do, I apologize for it and avoid making the mistake again. These people I suspect of boosting not only don't learn from their mistakes, but they fail to even realize that they made a mistake at all.
Edit #2: Again. gp mid rushing triforce despite being down 5 kills to the enemy zed, and actually refusing to build armor in chat. Same game, a shaco top laner who legitimately started the game by asking which ability to take first. Both of them requested that I (the jungler) be reported due to lack of ganks (as they somehow believed that them both losing lane 1v1 was my fault). This has never happened with this kind of frequency. Fix your shit game riot.
