Why Remove Things That Work?

I never played Dominion and I wasn't intending to start. But on the heels of the TeamBuilder removal I'd like to ask people who work in similar fields why Riot would remove things that work. Where I grew up, they'd tell you "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

So how much labor is going into this thing? Also, bring back TeamBuilder.
