The Problems with Kha'Zix

For the past few weeks and months ever since **Cinderhulk **
was added to the game and now the most recent 5.16 patch bringing in a Bruiser Meta, i feel like a few assassins really suffer from this huge meta shift. And i think the assassin that suffers the most is Kha'Zix
. Some people will say _"Oh he does a lot of burst damage, he's super mobile, and he can snowball really hard so stop complaining". _I completely agree with all of that but that is not what i feel like the problem is. He suffers hard because of the new tank meta. Most of the assassins can deal with this because of either extremely high burst (Like Rengar
) or they have a good scaling in their kit that allows them to deal with some tanks (Like Ekko's
W passive or Ahri's
Q) But because of Kha'Zix's strange "Isolation" mechanic, It makes him really hard to make use of his main damage source in team fights (Taste Their Fear). And the only way he can make use of his Q in team fights is the few split seconds that a target is isolated or if he comes to clean up a fight, but that makes him super reliant on his team winning the team fight basically 4v5 if they want Kha'Zix to clean up.
I'll Give you an example: (This Example will include stats not counting or stats from runes/masteries)
_Lets Say that i'm playing Kha'Zix

_I'm level 14 with my Evolved Q and E. _
My Items are:
(General Kha'Zix Build)
My Stats Are:
-308 Attack Damage
-1600 Health
-60 Armor
-112 Magic Resistance
-10/35% Armor Penetration
-10% Cooldown Reduction
Your Team is doing semi-good, and you were doing pretty good early game. You Picked up an early kill counter-jungling and ganked top lane for a kill also. Your top laner is doing pretty good, your mid laner is feeding, and your bot lane is doing average but they gave a few kills to the enemy jungler cause they weren't warding. But in all its a pretty even game. Right now about 27-35 minutes into the game, your team needs a dragon. But to earn a dragon you must team fight and attempt to either Ace them or push them away from the dragon. Your team decided that your going focus down the enemy Pantheon
(Who is the enemy jungler) Because he is on a killing spree and he needs to be shut down. But since your top laner is a tank and not a damage dealer and your mid laner is way behind so his damage isn't too great and your ADC is doing okay but not great. So right now your the biggest damage source on your team. Also since their team is all grouped up, the odds of you getting off an isolated Q is slim, so your relying on the Non-Isolation damage on your Q (We're assuming the ability is maxed)and that damage is : 539 physical damage (170+120% of your AD). Pretty Decent Damage. But the enemy team is pretty tanky. Lets Assume everyone on their team (excluding the ADC) has 150 Armor. (Average amount of defensive stats for a champ)
150 Armor= about 65% Reduced Damage. (Bear with me i don't know exact stats)
So, that takes the damage from Kha'Zix Q to about 350 Damage. Which is pretty pathetic for an assassin.
But lets not forget Kha'Zix has armor penetration with Last Whisper and Warrior Enchantment
Warrior takes away ten armor so:
140 Armor = about 60% Reduced Damage
Last Whisper takes away 35% of your damage reduction so:
140 Armor= 25% reduced damage
This leaves the non-isolated q damage at: 405 physical damage
This damage is meh. Basically in this fight, if you were to initiate you would probably get blown up or have to burn flash. And if you didn't initiate , you would still have to wait for the right chance to go in but in this fight that chance would most likely not come.
I hope i have explained this well enough for you to understand his problems. Yes his damage can be good and his snowball potential early game is strong. But the problem is that Kha'Zix is so reliant on this one ability and his team that his usefulness in team fights especially in the late game is pretty much not there. Right now, Kha'Zix has the lowest win-rates as a jungler falling at around a 45% win rate. Right now i think that he either needs some late game buffs or give him another aspect of his kit that can allow him to have more usefulness late game.
Here is what i Propose:
Leave his early game power alone, its strong enough and is at a good spot.
Give him better base stats on his q the more it is leveled up.
Give him more survivability with his ultimate (Void Assault) like brining back the reduced damage he takes while stealthed with his evolved ultimate.
Make his passive (Unseen Threat) Scale better or give it another aspect to it.
