So I heard Riot plans for Ahri...

And I felt really disappointed. Ahri being one of the most (if not the most) healthiest assassin of the game, is getting changed for a more sustained damage poke mage champ. I don't really acknowledge Riot point on this, but when you see akali, katarina, fizz, talon, etc. That are point and click (kill) champs able to 1 shot people, and are extremely annoying to play against when fed, and then you see Ahri, that if she gets fed, there is a counterplay to that, which is, dodging her skillshots. Give a very unskilled player a 10/0/3 Ahri, vs a challenger 3/0/3 Vayne, and he will probably fail (the unexperienced player). Now give that kda to the other assassins, and the Vayne, even if he is challenger will certainly die. Isn't good to have a variety on assassins? I mean we have a lot of mages.

And if the changes of mage Ahri goes live, why would she be a viable pick?, if i want sustained damage and poke I will go for Azir, Ziggs, Syndra, Xerath, Ori, and others.

Assassin Ahri is really fun to play, because it’s not your role staying behind your team, spamming spells (passive), but catching vulnerable targets out of position and be able to kill them (active). But if you miss your combo, then you are almost useless if a fight breaks out. Since you really need your ultimate to make plays. It is a high risk, high reward champ.

Now that DFG is being removed from the game, I hope riot doesn't take away her assassin role. Maybe they can just put her old stats (before season 3 nerf), in adition to the mana regen and Q buffs. (this will make up for the removal of DFG). Or increase the damage amp on her charm to let’s say a 30%. Or whatever solution Riot comes up with, as long as she remains with her primary super fun role.

Thank you for reading!

TL/DR: Ahri should keep her unique and healthy assassin role. The removal of DFG should be compensated on her burst damage.

Give kitey mage Ahri a chance. She was pretty awesome back in the day. She was still able to dive for kills, it just wasn't the only thing she could do.

If they intend to remove the 20% amp. Where are they going to tack on 40% additional damage across all of her spells? ((deathfire + charm+) OTherwise, it's just a stupidly large nerf.

"Healthy assassin" Kills you, proceeds to dash 3 times away to escape the rest of your team. such health.

Will the khaijit show me its wares? Because I have the coin.

Also: Abyssal/Rylais' Ahir was more or less standard back in the day.

I know, I'm so disappointed in this decision. I'm pretty sure they only made this decision because she is one of the few assassins you can nerf without changing her entire kit. They want to do as little as possible to fix the assassin problem, so they're making off-assassins less assassiny.

As an Ahri main, I'm really excited for the new changes. I think they'll bring a refreshing new playstyle and change of pace and more flexibility rather than DFG all the time every time. Thats just my opinion though.

I also didn't like what they said made a thread about how i think they are implying Assassin Ahri may be removed

Nothing is changing about her play-style though. Mage Ahri has the exact same kill pattern as assassin Ahri. The only difference would maybe be a slight reduction of the efficacy of a 100%->0% combo on a very squishy target, but otherwise, stronger poke/aoe damage simply means that Ahri has more opportunities to bring people into assassination range. It's not like even the long range Xerath/Ziggs lack kill potential.
