Instead of long death timers and weak towers..

Why not shorter death timers and buffed towers? I won a game last night, which my enemy was creaming us the whole game, where we won ONE team fight at 25 Minutes that resulted in an ace. They had all of OUR towers except inhib and they had all theirs. Want to know what happened off one ace? We took mid tower, 2nd tower, inhib tower, inhib, and then on the way out picked up a dragon.

How is this right?

there can be a simple fix for this: make towers stronger for every layer that's not taken, so inner towers are stronger if not all outer towers are taken, inhib twers are stronger if not all inner turrets are taken...

Towers need to provide more dive protection too. If you get behind in lane, you can't even hide under turrets anymore without just getting killed.

I had a Draven kill me from almost full health at level 6 while face tanking my turret the other day. I thought it would at least be a traded kill, but he walked out with so much HP he didn't even have to leave the lane.

And HotS is the last game League should be chasing. It's a fine game, but it is not nearly as deep or as good as League. And I don't play it for that reason.

The issue is that both of those changes would extend the average duration of each match, which is a problem in its own right if most players expect to dedicate only around half an hour for a session. Faster respawns means a smaller window of opportunity to take down objectives when the enemy's down in numbers, and buffed towers means it would take longer to reach the enemy nexus. I completely agree that it's lame to lose a match by watching the enemy tear down your base while you're helplessly running through a ridiculously high spawn timer, and towers really do need to feel a lot stronger, but to have that we'd need changes in place that would guarantee similar overall match durations.

Turrets should have this added to them

turrets take 10% reduced damage for every allied champion alive

This means someone having to back won't get thier turret recked, but in an ace turrets drop like they do now

So a plot pusher has to worry about turrets taking 50% less damage but a team fight could end with an ace makinng them paper thin defensively again while the enemy is dead

Inhibitor and nexus turrets should have the buff at 5 stacks (50% reduced damage) at all times until the 30 minute mark

Won a game when our team was like 17-45 simply because we had one person able to splitpush the majority of their base down. We completely deserved to lose that (ignoring the fact they had a Sated-Rageblade Jax) and it wouldn't of been possible to win without structures being so pathetically weak that even supports can chunk the towers.

I'm okay with tower-destroyers like Tristana, Jax, Nasus, etc being able to kill towers really fast, but when a full tank Alistar support starts chunking the tower's health and proceeds to backdoor the enemy nexus there is obviously an issue.

Not everyone enjoys 1 hour game, and even those will end if one side throws and got aced at level 18.

Nothing changed, except the game gets a lot longer, more subject to people having to quit to go feed their dog, pick up their angry girlfriend and do stupid homework.

You got aced, your base will take a big hit .That's what ace does.

I'm pretty sure i saw a Rioter say something, on one of Moobeats Tweets, saying that they are gonna shorten death timers a little.

I have been feeling it for a while that League is started to look a lot like HotS - long death timers and crappy towers = short game time. BUT what Riot is missing is that if they want a shorter game time, then pacing needs to change. Up the amount of gold regen, gold from everything, decrease item price slightly, and up experience gain - therefore, you effectively cut down on game time without making this shitty mess.
