What I am getting from all the preseason talks atm
Ghostblade and Rylia's are likely to change.
If I had to guess. No one likes seeing ADC's build Ghostblade because they do not get anything bad from it even though it originally was an assassin item.
So my deduction from the changes is that they will change up flat armor pen, and remove attack speed buff. But compensate the attack speed buff with something else like lower cooldown or just not give it anything back.
Rylia's I am curious about; as a AP Caster. Pride myself on malzahar. How will the changes effect the way certain champions build. Will it be more beneficial for champions that can consistently reapply it with DoT damages (Cass, Malz, Brand) , or will it be better for champions that have better engage and can use it to finish people off because they just simply can not get away fast enough? (Annie, Zyra, Ryze). If we are talking about stat checking the item. Then I assume that minor damage will be removed from it to get people off the "This is 100 AP and give HP for my Caster" Hype.
Personally I would like to see Rylia's benefit a type of mage more than another type of mage. Like how it is now but more defined. It would be interesting to see something like "When you apply 3 single target magic damage to enemy champion the slow effect is increased by 25%" something like that. Would be more beneficial to Cass and Malz who already need it in their build paths because of how close and how risky they tend to be. Also that would help mages who do not come with dashes but need to spam out spells deal with people who can get away with dashes or high movespeed. Looking at you Hec and Udyr.
Riot Admitted that they were wrong, but wants to give us the best of both worlds.
So we get a Flex Queue and a Solo/Duo Queue.
both of them use a separate MMR system. With the exception of if you get ranked on one of the systems before the other; it will take into account where you stand. For example I get Plat 4 on my Solo/Duo Queue, it would adjust it for my Flex Queue. But we lose out on the ranked 5's with all of our boosted friends who are not near us in rank. Looking at you Bronze and Diamond+ players.
Ranked is ranked for me. A win is a win, a lose is a lose.
Assassins are going to be getting changed in ways to make them feel less "I get Q R W'd by LeBlanc as an ADC and never played for the rest of the game" to feel more like "I get ultied by a Zed who can kill me if he lands all of his Q's. So now he plays a little more safe and waits for me to mess up."
Stealth is going to be a living nightmare even though it already was pretty hellish with Twitch.
I am ready for the days of Kha Mid again. Getting my Satan Shirt ready to spam out teemo top, because hey I go invis and if you do not have a skillshot or a AoE Spell to do anything to me. I can literally harass you run into a bush and hide because pinks do not work on me now.
Certain champions are going to definitely need to be looked at thoroughly.
Pinks do not work on Invis, but work on long duration camo.
Invis = Short Stealth
Camo = Long Stealth
But my question to all of that is; What defines close enough to see for Camo champions? Because I do not want a twitch showing up on my screen halfing half of my HP because he ultied and no one on my team could see him. Will Camo stealth reveal ranges be adjusted for all ranges of champions? Also will this get arid of that stupid thing that shows up on my head its Red and looks like this! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or will that just continue to be a detriment to our friendly neighborhood kitten.
Overall; I personally feel like I am going to hate next season because I hate assassins, I hate stealth, and I hate adjusting.
What I really am hoping for is reasonable changes to champions like LB, Zed, Akali, Fizz, Ekko, etc. So that just because they wanted you dead you have some time to counter-play. Increase the time it takes to kill a person the longer the game goes on, or just in general. Perhaps remove Fizz Troll-Pole
Stealth, let me just jump on people without them even know with Rengar again. And can we remove that BS on Kha's Isolation. I would like to see S3 Kha back.
Make brusiers not one shot me like Jayce, J4, Pantheon, Riven. All because they just Flashed/ CC'd me.
Well heres to hoping I do not cry next season because I refuse to learn Assassins and They do not have any stealth champion that is a caster that does not somewhat fall under that category of assassin. LB, Talon, etc.
