Lissandra's Passive Discussion / Would love an answer from Meddler

So, I've been doing some small research regarding Lissandra's passive and I saw a couple of threads from a year or so back where Riot Meddler spoke about adding a shield to her. The idea of a shield sounds kind of neat because she's a short/mid ranged mage and as shown on Kassadin it can work pretty well but as far as that goes I think Riot just didn't like the idea overall.

As a laning passive, Iceborn is amazing but as soon as the laning phase ends OR if Liss gets Rod, it just becomes.. useless. And it is kind of weird because Riot hit Lissandra right on spot as an ice mage with her aesthetics and general game feel.. all but her passive. I'd much prefer something more thematic for Lissandra while lowering the mana cost of her Q cause the only reason why that passive exists anyways is because her one Q costs 1/4 of her mana.

Either way, this was Meddler from 9 months ago.

>No current plans/nothing in progress right now. Did some experimentation a while back with a shield passive based off CCing enemies, wasn't able to hit on a version that generated sufficient decisions and satisfaction without putting a lot more power into it than could be afforded without nerfing her significantly elsewhere though.

My question is.. are we going to see any Lissandra changes during the mid year mage update? Surely by then they'd have something to give us as they've been playing around it for more than a year and a half. As a fan of mages, I'm really hyped up about what Riot is going to do with Malzahar and Vel'Koz specifically, but I'd like to know if there would be ANY sort of changes for Lissandra because during the ADCs reworks and itemization changes, Riot changed a bunch of other champions as well like Jinx getting more attack speed with passive as well.

I would really love to know just anything. If you can't say what it is but that you're working on something then, please, just anything is nice.
