PSA: You are at risk of being banned for MMR boosting even if you've never done it. Here's proof.

So I am a person who hasn't played much ranked over my years of playing league. recently I have gotten into playing ranked. (obviously since its pre season it does nothing) My friend recently has been banned for being boosted according to him wrongfully. So I did a bit of searching and i found this post. And now I am a bit concerned on how getting banned for being boosted works. Because i was on a 74% win rate from bronze 4 to 1 , and I have recently been on quite an annoying losing streak. Am I at risk of getting banned, and if so how could i safeguard my account?

there is no chance of you getting banned for boosting. in fact even if you are actually boosted it is unlikely you will get banned for boosting.

chance are those people who are complaining had their accounts logged in by devices linked to boosting, so literally the only way it would be a false ban is if their account was hacked.

I wouldn't be worried about it. If you're not being boosted then ignore it.

This won't get someone banned. Every player has clicking trends and stuff they do passively such as pathing, ward placement, pref item slots, summoner spells, etc which Riot can track. If those things shift all of a sudden, then the player fingerprint doesn't match and there's a good chance it's someone else playing.

The above is an educated guess btw. Riot doesn't reveal how they detect people otherwise the boosters would have an easier time evading the system.

Idk, are you being boosted or scripting? If neither of those are true, the answer is no.
