We started fixing Cone abilities, how about we fix this monstrosity

For those that might not understand the reference in the title, Riot started fixing a few of the cone abilities and how they worked in the code. They used to have their cast indicator, and if the opponent was in the cast indicator when the ability was initially cast they would be hit by it. Regardless of whether they dashed out or flashed out before the cast finished, they would be hit( in the case of Chogath W) or pulled back in( in the case of Darius E).

Now addressing the video. Hecarim E has a very similar mechanic attached to it in the coding. Hec charges his E, starts the animation of dashing towards and through the Vayne . The Vayne uses her E to condemn the Hecarim right out of the animation to deny him getting on top of her. However, while no contact is made of any kind, the dmg goes through anyway. Doing damage and applying red buff in this situation.

TL:DR - I feel the Hecarim E needs to be changed to how the Cone abilities were. Stopping or dodging should be a skill that you shouldnt still be punished for.

It's an auto attack enhancing spell, that's why the damage isn't blocked if the auto goes off.

The interaction with Poppy is pretty comical too. He gets bounced off her wall, yet she still takes damage AND is knocked back by it. Makes 0 sense.

"Fixing" like, Cho was barely viable before the W changes, now after the abusive nerfs he's basically unplayable, there was no problem to be fixed there, it was a mechanic completely vital to his kit.

I feel like singed E is actually far worse when it comes to this. I can't tell you how many times i've seen a vayne condemn a singed, only to find herself standing next to him still.
