Issues on balance of Season 6 AP
Hello, I am one of ‘Inven’ users, the LoL community website in Korea. Lots of issues are shared in internet board for mid position in Inven and many users are not satisfied with the balance of AP, AD item. Therefore, I’d like to give some message after collecting this matters. I cannot even sleep whenever I think of AP champions who will be suffered until middle of the month when Sorcerer update patch will be open.
It was a light joke. Anyway, these are opinions that I’ve collected from Inven as below. I hope you take this seriously.
(1). First of all, the efficiency of long sword and Tome should be considered. Long word has really various high-level items. Though I can upgrade items to high-level item very smoothly if I buy four items, but high-level items of Amplifying Tome are made up of Fiendish Codex and sometimes Aethe. Those are inefficient low-level version of core Item that AP champions often can choose at the most. I can use Rabadon's Deathcap as an example. In other words, the difference is so significant from basic item build.
We hope Amplifying Tome has more various high-level items: Blasting Wand has Amplifying Tome as low-level item or choices can be widen by adding new items which used Amplifying Tome as low-level item.
(2). I think Rabadon's Deathcap has cost problem, but real problem is low-level item: Needlessly Large Lod, Blasting Wand and Amplifying Tome. Those are taking up three item inventory unnecessarily when I choose Rabadon's Deathcap in its middle and late stage. If there is no space for item inventory and I don’t have enough low-level item, I get damage deal loss. And it is too much expensive. Even if I have three of them, I need expense of combination more than Needlessly Large Lod. These low-level items will be meaningless if I don’t complete Rabadon's Deathcap in its middle and late stage. However there will be cost problem to make a choice in the early and middle stage and not efficient as it increases just AP %.
How about changing these low-level items into two Needlessly Large Lod? Maybe it can solve problems of low-level item and damage deal loss while making choice of Rabadon's Deathcap, though it can't be helped in case of expense of combination.
(3). I think Magic Penetration has problem now. Magic Penetration has no merit at all since magic resistance item’s efficiency has increased this time, and moreover it is expensive. Though Void Staff is still effective and efficient by now, Haunting Guise, Sorcerer's Shoes and Liandry's Torment dropped out of the priority and its selection rate are extremely lower than before. Any plans for adjusting Magic Penetration?
(4) The major issue in invent community was Zhonya's Hourglass and anyway, I can accept an increase in price as this active is so boundless. However everyone’s biggest gripes are about Seeker's Armguard which is the low-level item of Zhonya in comparison with Zhonya. I will not make any further opinions as it will be upgraded, but any plans to remake if there is a problem despite the Seeker's Armguard is upgraded.
(5). How do you think of these two items: The Maw of Malmortius and Sterak's Gage? If these two item be mixed, AP champions can’t cause damages at all. I was told that it was intended for Juggernauts especially, when Sterak's Gage was added, but I think Sterak's Gage is too overpowered and top tier for every champions.
