Questions about Kennen

So, I was looking at a video for his new Blood Moon skin (his kit looks fun), and I've seen him in game a few times, and now I've been thinking of picking him up. But, I have a few questions about him!

• First, is his kit fun? I don't enjoy just clicking people to death or mindlessly spamming buttons. Does it have outplay potential, and does it require some amount of thought?

• I've seen him be an ADC, top, mid, support and even jungle -- is he really that versatile to be viable in so many roles? If no, what roles does he do well in?

• What is he good at (his niche)?

• Who does he lane well against, and who beats him?
