As a bronze player, should I even worry about wins? Where do i start to work on?

I'm a bronze player. I belong there, lets get that out of the way.

I have a lot of problems that I recognize; easily tilted, very low to non existant matchup knowledge, item/rune/mastery build ineptitude, horrible decision making, abysmal cs scores and I think my teamfighting could use some work.

I watch videos to help me but it seems I keep losing games and I blame myself for this. The problem I have isnt the availability of information, but trying to figure out where to start and when to move on to the next thing to build on what I've learned?

TL;DR - What should I be focusing on to get better and how do I gauge my progress if not with victory screens?

Start by watching your minimap more, and placing a few more wards every game.

Play lots of games and try not to blame your team at all for losses. Play, if you can, a single champion, maybe three at most. Spam the shit out of that champion or champions until you can maintain above 50% winrate on them. Last season I struggled to get past Bronze 5 until I eventually got out. This season, Bronze is nothing to me, I now struggle between Silver 3 and Silver 2.

Well there is definitely slot to take into consideratiom, feel free to add me in game Makior72 and I'll be happy to go over things in more detail once I'm home from work.

In general, things that will help you improve as bronze player are...

  1. Buying control wards. Almost no one buys these but they are immensely useful. But only useful if you...

  2. Look at your minimap! You should be quickly glancing at the minimap about once every 10 seconds, maybe more. Are you top lane and pushed all the way to enemy tower and the enemy mid lane is no where to be seen? Time to leave, thank the minimap for preventing your untimely demise!

  3. Pick 1 or 2 roles, learn them inside and out. Imo support is the easiest role to learn and the hardest to fully master. But of you play support in bronze I suggest playing a mage that can do damage late game for when you have bad teams. Annie , brand, lux, veigar are all pretty popular picks.

General knowledge of other champions and roles is pretty massive. if you know what the enemy can do then you will better understand how to deal against it. Camille used all her cooldowns? I'll go on the aggressive and punish her in that time period. Darius is up 2 kills? I'll play it safe for a bit.

Getting better map awareness is pretty big to. Just noticing what is happening on the map will help you react far better. Oh bot lane got ganked? I'll try being more aggressive on this top laner.

Really understanding the game is half the battle to getting higher up on the latter. Thinks like skill and mechanics come with time and understanding the game is far more viable than anything. There is guys with little skill in 1v1s but they have such great general knowledge of the game they are able to react fair more effectively than others. It's why one-tricks are typically not as respected as just straight up good challenger players. The 1 trick is only good on one champion and they lack the knowledge as well as the skill to be effective on other champions. Tobias for example dropped elo when he stopped playing GP as much.

Find a champ that is strong in current meta with good waveclear. Learn how to cs and learn how to pressure.

Pressure is very important and not much people do it until high gold. Which is sad cause it's an easy concept.

Hanging around river or in jungle for 20 second just waiting for something to happen in an issue most do in power mmr. Just make sure your constantly working towards something and don't back to shop every 2 seconds.
