Wards not working over walls?

I've noticed an issue with trying to place wards over walls in some specific spots after 6.18. Rather than just placing it down my champ would rather walk all the way around the terrain to place it, when the selected spot is clearly within range. This occurs on the blue side of the topmost river bush, blue side of the top middle river bushes, and on red side of bottom river bush. Those spots are the most problematic, although I've had issues placing wards in other spots on occasion.
