The longer cooldown than qss cleanse doesn't remove suppression and airborne.

What's the point of the summoner if you can just buy a qss and get lower cooldown on the active while getting more benefits ? it's for aps who can't build qss right ? well guess what aps still are forced to build qss when they go against a malzhar or a warwick or whatnot... The summoner pales compared to the other summs and really needs to be able to remove all kinds of cc.the one that shouldnt be removing all kinds of cc is the qss. i'm an AD player btw i rarely pick ap champs but i still feel for them when i do pick an ap champ.

Because you get it at the start of the game without deviating your build path and wasting 1.3k gold on it?

Cleanse level 1-9 is really strong on mid laners, especially if the opponent has CC so you can avoid ganks much better.

Cleanse removing all CC is too powerful since you’ll have it way sooner than you’d ever buy a QSS, and cleanse doesn’t take up an item slot. champs like malz, urgot, and skarner might as well not exist then since everybody can just take cleanse as a secondary.
