Yet another Aatrox rework idea, gather 'round folks

Don't get caught up on values because they're probably broken ^_^"

The reworked passive resembles still his current one in terms of what it is ment to do, however it now has an unique survivability trait meanwhile also giving him attack speed, just like the current one, but working the opposite way.

Passive Blood Well Aatrox has a Blood Well which gives him 25% damage reduction. Which means 25% of the damage taken will lower his Blood but not his HP. His Blood Well sits at 10% and regenerates to that value whenever below. If it depletes, it 'breaks' and enters a cooldown of 20s, also losing the damage reduction portion.

Blood Lust The less blood he has shed, the more Blood Lust he has. Makes sense, no? "Bloodlust, what is it?" Attack speed. When his Blood Well is empty he has very high attack speed, when it's full it sets at its low base value. (Basically the opposite from what it is now)

W:, an important part of his kit and "know-how", which will differentiate the good from the bad.

Bloodthirst: Every attack fills your Blood Well increasingly more up to the 3rd hit. Bloodprice: Every attack deals extra damage increasingly more up to the 3rd hit.

Changing from one stance to the other at the right time will trigger different attack animations. (Rito pls) Better timing in changing from Bloodprice to Bloodthirst will mean better effects.

Keep in mind!

  1. Every bloodthirst auto fills his bloodwell.
  2. Bloodprice auto attacks and taking damage will lower his bloodwell. If it breaks you lose 25% damage reduction, if it's too high you lose a lot of attack speed.
  3. Experienced Aatroxes will maintain a healthy balance through stylish combat.
  4. Aatrox has innate high attack speed (his base is low, the multiplier from Blood Lust is huge).

"What about full AD Aatrox?" Damage absorbed per blood scales with resistances, so a full AD Aatrox will struggle to maintain whatever % of Blood Well he may have.

Examples, Aatrox takes 1.000 damage 25% is absorbed by his bloodwell (so 250 damage) Damage absorbed per blood = 1 (base+% of resistances) Lost Blood: 250. Conclusion: Loses a lot of Blood to little damage.

"What about tanky Aatrox?" 1.000 damage taken 25% is absorbed by his bloodwell (so 250 damage) Damage absorbed per blood = 3 (base+% of resistances) Loss blood: 83. Conclusion: Needs a lot of damage to break Blood Well.

Remember that he still took 750 damage in the examples above.

This rework is focused on his resilience, filling a niche of "annoying to kill fighter".

His bloodwell will scale with his resistances, which means that if you build AD your Blood Well can very easily be destroyed and if you fill your BW for safetyness you wont have much attack speed anyways, regardless of itemization (very low base value).

Aatrox should feel rhythmic to play with, because of his stylish poise and stance as a fighter. His 'combos' should feel like a 3-hit sequence, that would feel simple and fun to play with, meanwhile giving room for masterization (perfect timings) and counterplay.

c'est fini
