Kindred procs sated devour on every other attack and not forth (sated nerf)?

I saw sated got nerfed for ranged champs, but kindred is able to proc it on every other attack. So does that mean....

Sated is not really nerfed yet for ranged? or Kindred W(wolf) is considered melee and allows her to proc sated as if she was a melee champ?

The lol wikia site does not have details yet so does anyone have a clue?
