Flashes & Autos

Just kinda curious why auto attacks still go through if someone flashes away. It looks really clunky and feels really unfair when it happens to you. As much as I love it when I get a kill from it, it seems unneccesary and would really improve the CLARITY of the game. Any thoughts?
