Promos Are Rigged For Failure?

So I'm starting to notice a trend here, ever since Season 4, your promos are almost always 90% attempts to screw you over. Typically you go on a huge win streak, that either ends when you abruptly end up in a completely face roll game. In promos for Gold, I got multiple Bronze on my team yet was paired against Plat. Promos to Silver, you're team is filled with Bronze 3> and your opponents are S2<. I understand this is supposed to be your "proving rights" and at higher ELO's, it would probably still work. However, in the lower ELO's, the play level is a HUGE jump. I've also noticed that after a 4+ game win streak, this same thing will happen again. This is really the only reason I love playing Dyn Que over Solo, whenever I get on a win streak like that, I just refuse to play solo. I know that the next game will be a massive loss, therefore a waste of time. Perhaps we should work on fixing the mixed pairings? Or perhaps we could just drop promos all together and go back to an ELO system please?

Its probably because your mmr ended up raising. I personally believe people should be matched on rank, and not on mmr. If you're climbing, it shouldn't get harder just cause you're climbing. You shouldn't have to defeat plats just to get, say, Gold 4. You should have to defeat, what do you know, other golds.

Promos don't matter. Riot likes to frame them as a set of 10 super important games that can give you a headstart on your climb if you win. But in reality they dont matter, i went 3-7, 4-6, and 8-2, in 3 sets of promos and ended each season in the same divisions( gold 5) and i got placed 1 division higher in the 8-2 set when compared to the 3-7.

They should just do away with the promos and drop everyone 5 divisions, thats basically what it is now, except now i have to wait a week and a half(usually how long it takes to play 10 games) before i can actually start climbing. Not to mention everyone is in super try hard mode because they think promos matter and this can lead to increased amount of toxicity.

Tl;dr placements have no effect on your placement and just cause people to be toxic

Same happens to me all the time. Get to promos and I am pretty much sure I won't win. I played my last promos 4 or 5 times just to move up. I get tired of it and then don't play ranked. That and I hate placements with a passion. Even if I go 7 and 3 (which I did) I get placed at least one level lower. Don't even get to stay in the same rank. Gets old really fast.
