The correlation between Top, Jungle, and Mid.

Riot,

I genuinely think that you must add some sort of small guidelines to your Champion Creation/Design Team if you want the Balance Team to have a break at dealing with what they have to deal with. So, hear me on this one.

  1. Just make a small list of things that a champion should NOT possess in the same kit. (I said things because: innovation may kick-in with a revolutionary twist). And compare them with existing champions if able. (clones, global presence, traps, etc).

  2. Another small list of mechanics that a champion should NOT possess in the same kit if there is another strong mechanic already in its kit. (Stealth, executions, revivals, stasis, invulnerability, silence, etc).

  3. Make a small list of the well known and balanced champions that do not have a "criminal" record, and adjust a guideline or comparison between them, with any new "in-the-making" champion that the Design Team might be cooking.

Riot, you guys are smart, you probably already know this, but I just felt that i needed to point it out regardless because this is getting out of control. Mid Lane will become a future Top Lane if you keep designing without a Gameplay Overseer. In all seriousness, I will leave this here in the hopes that it reaches high command ears. Probably not, but then again, this is the mayday call.

The freedom of design is what keeps the game new. Its impossible to have everything balanced 100% of the time without the game becoming stale. There will always be a meta.

Also... its July not June
