How to Be Well Rounded ADC? HELP

CondiLovelinNing·11/9/2015, 12:56:52 AM·3 votes·1,517 views

Hi there! Aaron here. I am a level 13 adc main who finds himself at cross roads. Because my skills are still in development, I have only really played two adc champions: Tristana and Caitlyn. I need more adc varities on my plate please give me some ideas on who I should buy/main next. I would love to add adc mains who would like to help out by sharing some of their knowledge on ADC champion pools. My IGN: WeNeverLeft

Why I enjoy those champions I main: Tristanna: Late Game, Decent Mobility, Tower Killer, Great Protection, Increasing range per level, Good clear, Good burst Caitlyn: Lane bully, Great Sniping Range, Best range without levels, Decent Protection, Decent Mobility, Never lose to anyone in lane (Given equal skills)

What I dislike about those champions: Tristanna: Horrible Midgame, Not enough damage early,
Caitlyn: Horrible late game - I feel like a failure if I don't win cs battle completely against anyone right after laning phase cuz I am not doing my job, Not enough damage against heavy tanks, no burst

Paths I am Thinking of Choosing: Mechanic mastery champs: Vayne (except my comp has bad ping) In Between Champs, poke burst champs: Jinx (6300 too expensive, 1600) High Mobility Champs: Ezreal (but will he be rewarding in mastering other adcs since he is so unique)

Path I am not Choosing: Draven. Nope. Not even gonna try him till I reach Platinum in the far future. Draven Varus. Nope. I don't like poke + inmobility. Either burst + inmobility. Varus Quinn. Nope. Just no. Quinn Urgot. Heard he was viable season -100? Yea no. Mordekaisor teemo etc... please no troll. =D

Try Sivir. High mobility. Great Waveclear. Great teamfight. Spell shield short cool down. Anti- ganks. All rounder damage wise.

Be that one guy who masters Twitch and become the sneak mouse god you always meant to be. Mini Guide! Step 1: Do literally nothing but farm until you get your item 3153 Step 2: Then, do very little until you get your item 3142 Step 3: Max Q, then E, Then W Step 4: Press Q approx. 2 seconds before teamfight starts, then right as you exit stealth press your item 3142 and R and rain fire on the enemy team Step 5: Win game

Runes: Red-Mark-Attack Damage Yellow-Seal-Armor Blue-Glyph-Magic Resist Quint-Attack Speed

Masteries: Right now: 21-9-0 (straight line down 2nd and 4th columns, only getting 2 points in bonus AD one) Season 6: (soon) http://pyroblasty.github.io/masteries/#CvCvCqvKxCvyY

Notes: -In order to succeed, you need your team to peel you, if they don't know what that is just tell them to heal and protect you from enemies. -Some good synergestic champions are: Lulu Nami Janna Alistar -To get the most value out of your Ultimate, try to hit enemies in a line so the bolts penetrate through all of them -You have the option of teamfighting, or playing like an assasin, Step 4 is effectively how you kill an isolated target, if you get the jump on them you can most likely burn them down before they can kill you. DO NOT try to 1v2, 1v3 or anything like that. 1v1. 3v3, 5v5 fights are what you should take.

Hope I could help! If you have any questions feel free to respond

Draven you should really try. I know you said you won't, but he's actually really good. I was terrible at him, but then started spamming the shit out of him just this free week and now he's really easy. Just get used to catching axes and positioning well and if you get fed early you'll carry super hard. Also, always ask for a kill lane support if you're going to play him, because he's absolutely terrible with passive lanes in my experience.

However since you have bad ping you might want to get a better Internet connection before trying him, as lag is Draven's biggest weakness. Can't catch axes, can't position right, can't land his ult. Ruins him.

Btw, Urgot is actually pretty viable in mid and top contrary to popular belief. He's even seen professional play.

I would wait until the marksmen patch goes through when the season ends.

Alot of the ADC's are going to change so its kinda pointless to get used to how someone plays when it'll be varied or different from before.

Once that happens, I think people can give you a better idea of what it is you're looking for in playstyle.

try Ashe

item 3085 is good on her especially with her Q

I think the best thing to do as a starting ADC Main is to try champions like MissFortune Ashe Sivir . They will teach you the basics of ADC, especially Miss Fortune.

I find Miss Fortune one of the best teachers of playing ADC because of her current passive (she's being reworked next patch mind you) that gives her 70 Movement Speed until she takes damage. This teaches new ADC players to try not to get hit by minions in lane, try to take as minimum damage as possible, and It's all reinforced by the fact she has 0 mobility. If you really want to learn ADC don't play champions with a ton of mobility (Vayne, Lucian, Kalista) because they're significantly safer (and tend to be harder to play in general anyways) and aren't that great of a teacher as ADC.

Currently ADCs are extremely squishy and not having good placement and positioning means you are basically guaranteed to die instantly in any and every teamfight, even if you're 100-0 almost any bruiser or assassin can blow you up if you make the slightest flaw in your positioning. That's why positioning is so valuable and I feel like Miss Fortune especially with her passive, teaches the pros and cons of knowing when to engage, disengage, and where to get where with what member of your team, how to also not draw minion aggro too. If you do well you'll run around the map with like 470 movement speed once you get some items and you won't even need dashes or blinks. If you do poorly your passive will be useless and having no mobility will crush you.

Sivir and Caitlyn are the best adcs for learning.

They're also pretty fun.

Learning how to time your shield with Sivir you make you better in the game in lots of different aspects. Good reaction time can completely turn a fight in your favour.

except you are wrong. caitlyn has a great late game. cait has good damage against tanks also. dont think you really figured these champs out.

anyway i would jsut wait for marksman update. cant say much until then.

Here are my thoughts: Vayne is a great champ but very difficult to learn. She is not as long ranged as most adcs now a days and her mechanics (especially her e) are pretty difficult to comprehend at a low level. Jinx is a great adc! I learned how to adc on jinx, personally. Save up for her and buy her! (Don't forget.. max w that dmg is ridiculous.) Jinx is good in my opinion because of her passive as well. You can choose to go aggressive or chose to run away depending on your situation. Varus is a very fun adc to learn as well. I understand you said you aren't interested but as you progress in your adc career you may have a different outlook on him. If you like long ranged, skill shot based adcs.. Well, Varus is great! He has his stun with his slow with his super extra dmg when you get his w off.. He isn't as immobile as you think you just need to play smart and be aware of your surroundings. I've also been messing around with kindred adc since she just doesn't seem as great in the jungle (it eliminates a tank and solo q is awful most of the time.) If you're interested in mobility and kiting.. she is incredible. If you have any questions or anything feel free to add me as well. Thank you ^_^
