Zed Rework
Passive: Contempt for the Weak:
Zed's basic attacks against targets below 50% 40% Health deal 6-10% 6/7/8% of the target's maximum Health as bonus Magic Damage. This effect can only occur once every 10 seconds on the same target.
The reasons for these changes are: Why does Zed need % damage against any target that is under 50% health? Even the mastery doesn't start its benefit until 40%. The % for him proc'ing this was too high. Zed also doesn't need to be dealing more damage than Brand's old passive with a basic attack. 6/7/8% is fine, especially when the target will already be below 40% health.
Next.
Q: Razor Shurikens: Zed and his shadow both throw their spinning blades forward, dealing damage to any targets they pass through.
Zed and his shadows throw their shurikens, each dealing 75/115/155/195/235 60/100/140/180/220 (+100% bonus Attack Damage) physical damage to the first enemy they pass through, and 45/69/93/117/141 40/65/90/115/140 (+60% bonus Attack Damage) physical damage to each additional enemy. Additional shurikens that hit the same enemy deal 50% less damage than previous shurikens.
Cooldown: 6 8 seconds.
That's pretty much it. Nerfing his base on his shurikens and giving the second damage cleaner numbers. I'd give him ratio buffs, but let's be real-- the AD options are really good and he'd only need a 10% buff if AD items were reduced a bit. The cooldown increase is because this is his spam ability and since Zed has some cooldown in his item build he doesn't really need it to be 6 seconds.
W: Living Shadow: Zed's shadow dashes forward, remaining in place for 4 seconds, and mimicking his spell casts. Zed can reactivate to swap places with the shadow. Zed's Attack Damage is passively increased. Removed. See Ultimate.
Passive: Grants 4/8/12/16/20% additional bonus Attack Damage (+0) Removed. See Ultimate. Zed's shadow dashes forward, remaining in place for 4 seconds. Reactivating Living Shadow will cause Zed to switch positions with this shadow.Zed's shadows mimic his abilities. If an ability strikes any target twice, Zed restores 20/25/30/35/40 energy. Energy can only be restored once per mimicked ability.
No other changes/nerfs to this ability.
E: Shadow Slash: Zed and his shadow spin their blades, creating a burst of shadow energy. The shadow's spin slows.
Zed and his shadow slash, dealing 60/90/120/150/180 (+80% bonus Attack Damage) physical damage to nearby enemies. Each enemy champion hit by Zed's Shadow Slash reduces Living Shadow's cooldown by 2 seconds. Each enemy hit by a mimicked Shadow Slash will be slowed by ~~20/25/30/35/40% ~~ 10/15/20/25/30% for 1.5 seconds. Enemies hit by both Shadow Slashes will be slowed by 30/37.5/45/52.5/60% 20/30/40/50/60% but will not take additional damage.
Mainly tackling the unnecessarily high slow % he has at earlier ranks, but keeping the % relatively the same for multiple Shadow Slash hits.
No other changes.
R: Death Mark
Zed leaves a shadow behind and dashes to target Champion, marking them for death. After 3 seconds, the mark will trigger, dealing a percentage of the damage Zed has dealt while the mark was active. Zed's Attack Damage is passively increased.
Passive: Grants 4/8/12/16/20% 10/15/20% additional bonus Attack Damage (+0). This effect is disabled while Death Mark is on cool down, but increases Contempt for the Weak's passive damage by 2/3/4%.
Zed briefly becomes untargetable and spawns a shadow at his location that lasts for~~ 6 seconds~~ 3/4/5 seconds. He then dashes to target champion and marks them for death. After 3 seconds, the mark will trigger, dealing physical damage equal to 100% Attack Damage plus 25/35/45% 20/30/40% of all Magic and Physical Damage dealt to the target by Zed and his shadows while the mark was active. After 0.5 seconds Zed can reactivate Death Mark, causing Zed to switch positions with this shadow.
The bonus AD% increase seemed rather small and minute (minoot). So I'd give a buff to this aspect in terms of gaining more power sooner rather than later, but still keeping the extras 20% near end game. Since extra bonus AD is still nothing to scoff at, i wanted to give Zed other pros/cons to using his ultimate other than executing. During the ult's down time he has access to better dueling potential with increased % damage, but loses his overall bonus AD buff. His skills won't hurt as much, but his basics will cause more harm.
The duration on the return to his shadow is silly considering it takes roughly 1-2 seconds to complete your combo on someone and teleport back to your shadow. At least this way, Zed certainly has to rely on him dodging skill shots with his ult or waiting until the enemy CC on cool down before jumping on top of them.
Lastly, I just feel the damage amplification is too high on his stored damage. AD options allow a vast amount of AD bonuses and for someone as burst/safe as Zed, he should rely more on actually getting the enemy champion down before ulting and relying on the bonus damage to kill them 100% of the time.
note This rework was done without consulting his base stats, which, I am aware are considered pretty high for an assassin.
Please discuss below. Downvotes/upvotes don't concern me as I'd really like to read what you'd think. Thanks!
