@Rito Have you considered changing vision in regards to traps?
Particularly the disable effect of basically everything in this season.
And before I start - I main Teemo, who is hit by these changes the most (other ones are
and
), so obviously I am biased.
Still, I believe what I say has a point. Using traps have been difficult since the introduction of
as you can get the item for free and use it to become completely immune to all traps (along with getting your whole team for a ride). Now, traps are even worse, with so many trap disable and reveal effects:
and Scryer's Bloom.
Mind you that most of them are cheap or free (0g, 0g, 75g, 3250g (but you get this as a side effect on a potent item), 0g situational).
So, I've came up with some idea to help poor Teemo (and those other two idiots):
- no changes, this one is fine as it has limited range of effectivness.
- no longer reveals nor disables traps. Instead, it leaves a red warning sign (the same as with champions) that lingers for 10-15 seconds on the place of traps.
- leaves a red warning signs on traps and reveals/disables them after 5 seconds. This goes hand in hand with Rito intentions too: "With Control Wards no longer nullifying stealth, wards are moving away from in-combat interactions."
- identical to Oracle Alteration. Dunno if it should activate at being spotted by traps or wards only.
Scrying Plant - meh, should be fine. Those have a significant cooldown.
This way, there is plenty of ways to avoid and detect traps, but in order to get rid of them you need to commit some resources (either Sweeping Lens, Scrying Plant or Control Ward (this one takes a bit of time)).
Rito, please consider.
Tl;dr: Less disabling of traps, detection remains roughly the same.
PS. Feel free to join the discussion, whether you think my idea is fine, you have other ideas to fixing the issue or maybe you think the issue doesn't even exist and traps are fine. I'd love to hear your opinions.
's traps are as strong as ever and Riot Game still hasn't addressed some of the issues with them.
