Ravenous Hydra y u no 80AD

A while back the devs buffed the stats of some AD and AP items around in order to create "tiers" within them, with 80AD and 120AP being the highest tiers, respectively.

Now, item 3074 certainly deserves to sit with the "big boys" of AD such as item 3072 and item 3031, but instead it sits at an awkward 75AD instead. Why didn't it also get bumped to 80AD like item 3508 did? It has the cost and impact of any of the other big AD items.

I also remember a while back that the devs were thinking about removing the HP regen on Ravenous Hydra because having HP regen on an offensive item WITH lifesteal doesn't really make much sense. And with the new HP regen changes in place, the HP regen on Hydra really won't make much of a difference on the champions that are most likely to buy the item.

My proposed solution? Make Ravenous Hydra have 80AD, remove the regen, and reduce the total cost by 200G or so (+ .5 item 1036 - 2 item 1006 = 180G).

Yes, I know that the item itself is in a fine spot, and yes, a part of it is just my OCD senses tingling, but I think its mostly a harmless change in order to improve item consistency.

Thoughts?

Because Bloodthirster, Essence Reaver, and Infinity Edge aren't dealing AoE damage that can be abused with attack timer resets. Or Fiora's ult.

Because it doesnt build out of a BF sword. That was the entire point of having multiple tiers of items.

And no, fuck you we arent removing the regen on hydra.

It's my understanding that you need a item 1038 in your item build to get 80 AD, just like you need a item 1058 in your build to get 120 AP.

(I'm ignoring stack items, since those have their own set of rules for hitting the benchmark values).

My thoughts are that this would be a pretty huge buff. More AD and a lower cost = good. The loss of regen barely matters because the item gives you enough sustain by itself. The item doesn't need a buff that significant.

You have good ideas, sir. I hope they don't remove the regen on it, though. I like that here's an offensive melee item that allows melees to get poked a little and heal it back up.

Also, the 80AD items are really intended for adcs and assassins, I think. Ravenous Hydra is more for sustained damage melee characters, and it doesn't build out of BF sword. So it is different.
