So riot about that Dynamic Queue...

I like the concept except for 1 very big issue. The level of team balance is way off right now, at least for bronze and silver (i can only say what I have experienced). Now, I understand that premades will and do bring higher ranked members down to this elo, and that the more members in your premade you have, the more likely you are to face another premade with a similar amount. But what I don't believe is happening is that the game does not take their skill levels into enough consideration. Or it does not match them with equal opponents, or as close to equal as possible.

Recently i have played a decent amount of normal draft, and being high bronze / low silver elo, I would expect to face similarly ranked opponents. Now I know that normal is not as strict as ranked in the aspect, so me facing a silver 2 or a b5 is not unheard of, nor is it a big issue as long as those higher ranked are solo players and those lower ranked have a friend or two playing with them. The problem is that that is not the case. In fact many times it is the exact opposite where the higher ranked/skilled player is grouped with people from the expected rank/skill level that I should be playing in.

I just played a game where my team had 3 bronze 2 (me and 2 others) and 2 unranked and only one member was silver last season, and also the two unranked were not ranked for last season. The other team had a gold 1, two silver 4, and two unranked, where one silver 4 was gold last season and 4 others (both silver 4 and one of the unranked) were silver in s5. Also they were a 4 man premade with 1 solo, but the solo was the gold 1 player. We had a 4 man premade and me as the solo, but I am only bronze 2. The had an estimated average mmr of 1407. We had an estimated average mmr of 1110. that is 297 points difference which is insane.

I am noticing a surprisingly large amount of games where gold ranked players are being matched with bronze players. Is this intended? Are the 3 lowest rankings all pooled together in the matchmaking algorithm for team selecting?

Normally I would try and play ranked to avoid this issue, but I should not be forced to play it if I want to have any chance for team balancing. Also when server maintenance or an update prep is happening, I have to play normals because ranked queue is down. Dynamic Queue has been a lot of fun and I like it overall more than the old system (even though there isn't soloQ yet), but this issue never happened to this extent or if it ever did, it was extremely rare. Now though, it is almost every other game something to this extent happens.

I understand that a stricter matching system would extend lobby wait times by a bit, but I would rather wait 3 minutes than waste 20 in a game that I am simply out skilled on and have very little chance of winning.

Now I know that earlier I have stated that higher ranked players should be the solo players if matched, but matching a Gold 1 to a Bronze 2 is a bit extreme, especially on top of a silver 4 premade where one was gold last season.

Basically, I am wondering if the skill level/rank of players are or will be in the future taken into great consideration when balancing teams outside of ranked play? Because it seems like it has a few issues IMO.
