Classic Hecarim Needs a Visual/Sound Update
It's self explanatory. I don't feel that his effects and animations capture him as a character very well and I think that Riot has more than enough resources to change this. For starters, his E sound doesn't seem to line up with his sound in the canon. The pounding of his hooves is constantly described as thunderous and terrifying but his E just isn't a sound he would even make naturally. It succeeds in showing his acceleration with its heightened pitch over time, but I feel that the sound of accelerating hooves would do the same while retaining that core part of his character. His legs are sometimes described as foggy, seemingly drifting above the ground when he gallops, so an updated mist visual would be nice as opposed to the current large light under him. Secondly, while the ultimate does include the galloping sounds, the battle-cry is pretty dull. The fact that Hecarim is the only one making any coherent sound is not the problem, as the largest characteristics of the lesser spirits of the Isles is, ironically, their lack of characterization and differentiation. I feel as though the spectral riders could have a more potent, aggravated sound. Their models are also pretty unimpressive, as they are all just a re-skin of Hecarim. An updated model for the riders and a different running animation for them would do the ultimate justice. What are your thoughts on this? I'm not very attached to Hecarim, but I did notice these things while playing him in URF.
