This patch is making me feel overwhelmed

Since you have empowered the mages on this patch I'm feeling a bit awkward. Amumu

I main the deffensive roles (Tanks), naturally I build items that grant my champions Life, Armor and Magic resistance.

Despite of what I build (I can tell it was more than enough a few patches back), any of the mages that you've been reworking have been dealing excessful damage (It got me quite scared to watch such damage, I had to run the hell off the fields many times).

I have been reading the patches and I feel quite stressed each time I read some updates to Champions & Item features.

I don't know what's going on. I might have got just a bad day, but can someone tell if there's something wrong or is it just my imagination?

Thank you for such attention; I appreciate it!

I'm a support main, namely doing tank supports. I also feel the burn of the new changes drastically changing things that I, personally, believe shouldn't have been changed. Making so many mages stronger and then reducing MR on some very important MR tank items was really, really uncalled for. But this is one of the many changes that has me on tilt concerning the new patch.

I did some math and Viktor could very well achieve 3700+ magic damage with his ult at rank three. Velkoz and Kennen can reach over 2000 easily and, if the creature of the void has passive up and running? 2000+ true damage. An ult that slows and does that much true damage is really scary to a tank like myself, 2000+ and 3700+ magic damage also scares me a lot.

But then there is one more major thing that bugs me and that gives mages a HUGE advantage over pure tanks/AD characters. item 3802 20% maximum mana on level up? Why not make it so champions have unlimited mana early game. Leveling up early on is relatively easy and makes it way too easy to have plenty of mana and stay in lane, get ahead in farm and then steam roll your opponent(s).

Then I move on to the new hextech items... Removing spell vamp completely? That changes a lot of builds with a lot of champs and makes some champs less effective than before. While item 3174 does give life regen now if mana is lower it doesn't change the fact many champions will never be the same as they once were in many player's hands. Also, immobility on a champion? Not a problem! Get item 3152 to close the distance, or get away! Or just get item 3030 to slow them down to your level. Yea, immobility is such a hassle, isn't it? Well, it used to be.

Really, over all, I think many things need to be changed with this patch. Some of the mage updates I think are amazing and shouldn't change, but with many mages becoming stronger I think items should be given more MR, or simply cost less so things could balance out much faster. There are many more concerns I have with this patch and, while I do agree the hextech items are fair even with them fixing immobility issues with a decent CD, it makes things unfair for champions who have no use for AP. Or tanks.

Over all? I just think changes need to be made. I'll end this here. Hope my post, and little rant, isn't just a personal feeling.

As a fellow tank player, I prefer building armor over MR items. Though with item 3083 giving CDR, I think we tanks have some better chances.

Solution: Galio

item 3027 item 3001 item 3065 item 3111 + any two-item combination that includes armor, 20% CDR and whatever utility you need.

At full build your W can actually outheal base turrets for the first second or so it's applied.

you are not alone. Game is pretty broke right now when 1 lux laser can kill your full health adc pretty much. Its a dark day for league. Instead of fixing the issues, they made it so EVERY game i have played today has been 4 mages and an adc on the enemy team. Pretty cool...

dragons give a lot of power. red buff and blue buff give a lot of power. meanwhile. we don't get anything that give defensive power.

while they may seem to be mostly buffs they also have some nerfs that riot really didnt point out. such as vel'koz and malzahar abilites overall deal less damage. this is especially true for malzahar.
