Completely missing the mark with Lethality buffs...
It's no secret that AD Assassins are garbage, but I don't understand why they're buffing Lethality, especially how they are.
Assassins already snowball hard, if they get ahead they carry mid game. Changing lethality to scale with users level rather than targets only makes them snowball even harder. However, since they are in a shithole, they're less likely to get ahead and now they do even less damage than before.
The reason they suck isn't because their items suck. It is because the rest of the competition is so difficult to kill. We have nearly all supports rolling exhaust, which completely removes assassination potential, whereas mages aren't always in exhaust range when bursting. We have most ADCs rolling GA now that it has offensive power, and since it no longer gives MR, mages are better at killing ADCs than they were previously. We have a very ultra diverse ADC lineup, consisting of Draven and Caitlyn, sometimes Lucian, who either kill their target before they get in range or just draintank all damage with Death's dance. We have support items that make shields to absorb 3 billion damage while the recipient heals themselves or runs away. We have everyone building Ninja Tabi.
It's not a single one of these things that makes it problematic, but a combination of them.
I am not saying AD assassins aren't viable, but the problem with them isn't only Lethality being weak. There are just too many options to avoid death.
