Practice Tool would greatly benefit from a "Smite Fight" Simulator
Just played a game where I botched smite. Shit happens, even to pros.
But there's no way to practice it except in the field. Practice tool doesn't cut it because you're 1v1-ing baron and it's not a realistic scenario. Even if you had a five v. five testing it for you, is that really going to be a good example of what a smite fight would be?
The practice tool should come loaded with certain scenarios. Maybe even copy some heroic baron steals of pro-games-past. Give us the chance to play as those characters and fight over smites. There are even obvious difficulty modes!
- Bronze: You can't die and your champion is "controlled" for you. You only have to worry about smiting at the right time.
- Silver: Same scenario except you're in control. Very heavily favored for your team (Only a random Caitlyn Q over the wall or otherwise)
- Gold: Favored for your team but gotta watch out for, say, an Ezreal ult.
- Platinum: A full-blown fight at baron with your team starting baron.
- Diamond: The reverse with enemy starting baron.
- Master: A miracle steal where you have to flash/dash over the wall with limited vision.
- Challenger: Odds stacked against you, only a blast cone, one smite...and the enemy has cho'gath and Nunu.
But the bottom line is that smite-fighting is one of the core tenants of a jungler and one of the many things that separate a meh jungler from a godlike one. I, and many others, would love to hone our skills for this situation.
