Split up Ardent Censor?

Just had a thought while on the toilet at 2:22 AM. What if Riot split up Ardent Censor into two items that combined do what it does now? They can both do their thing, and when finished you get roughly the same stats for basically double the cost. The items would be cheap, maybe 2800 gold a pop, but together it would slow down the spike a lot while still being solid enough to warrant since they would likely have the % heal shield increase still. Maybe one gives say 10% scaling up to 20% attack speed, and one gives 5 scaling to 15 life steal on hit? Would that work as a solution? Because as one item I don't think it would work, but if you decrease the slot efficiency would that work?
