Dark Harvest "Hotfix" Won't Fix Anything (ARAM)
Here's an ARAM perspective of Dark Harvest. Revert or remove it.
The dark harvest before was a little fun to chunk some health with autos and was pretty trolly, now it legitimately just erases people and is just anti fun. I remember when everyone went old dark harvest and it was actually fun because it didn't break the game entirely. The difference this time is that it chunks even more and you can't even play the game with how hard you get bursted down, even as a tank. The timer on old dark harvest proc at least took some timing to be sure you used your damage wisely. Now it doesn't matter and is proc'd with any damage done. Which, since it scales adaptively and ap is so much more burst heavy, just increases the one shot potentials even more. What is Riot's deal with removing skill from this game and just turning everything into a one shot fest? So now we have an even more burst heavy meta that pollutes ARAM and it isn't enjoyable at all (may even say unplayable). The random factor is thrown out the window when it doesn't even matter what champ you get, just go dark harvest and you reck face.
I hear a hotfix is coming out (at this time it still hasn't come out) to "fix" dark harvest early game, but that's not going to fix the overall poor design that went into making this rune. Remember last time they had to actually "fix" dark harvest? It was nerfed into the ground and no one used it again. So my guess is that this is going to happen over and over; buff to nerf to buff to nerf and there's not going to be any middle ground to make this rune viable without being broken. So if it's next to impossible to find a doable middle ground, maybe it just doesn't work and it should be removed. We've already seen this happen with the old one, but it seems like Riot doesn't learn from their mistakes.
