Ranked is a joke, Norms is far more entertaining and much less frustrating

If you don't do well in your provisional games then you are pretty much f***ed. The problem with this is it is often times a coin toss for the outcome of the game. Reason being, there are way too many players inting and afking, and a lot of them admit to doing it on purpose. What's worse, is if you're lucky, Riot may actually do something about the player 5-10% of the time, but most of the reporting of trolls is just ignored unless they say something racial or homophobic.

I used to think norms was bad because people didn't care about the outcome since it wasn't "ranked." However, I once again reaffirmed my understanding of ranked upon giving it a shot again. There is far more trolling because trolls know people take ranked more seriously than norms.

For my provisional games, I lost 7 of 10 matches due to afk/inting, mostly afks. The sad thing, is the people often quit or rage quit within a few minutes of starting the game, not even coming close to the 10 minute mark even. I won 1 game due to a rage quitter on the other team, but that's still no fun. So, if it's a coin flip for which team will have the troll, or the worst troll(s), then i lost the coin flip 7 out of 8 times. That's pretty bad for a 50% chance. The other 2 games were normal matches and my team and I won those 2 legit matches. I'd be curious to see what another 8 legit matches would have done for my rank.

Instead, I'm forced into a low elo situation where the trolls are a plenty. A majority, over 50%, of my matches are decided by trolls, not player skill. This is ridiculous, Riot!

Why is there not a system in place to not penalize people for games they lose due to trolls, or AFKs at the very least? Someone rage quits, they can play on trying to win, if so, reward the win. Other team w/o the AFK wins, reward them. If the team with the AFK loses, maybe not have them lose xp, or offer this to those positive k/d ratios. Maybe just cut the xp loss in half when this occurs. Something!

It's extremely annoying to be forced to sit through a dumpster fire of a match just to avoid an AFK penalty. If the match is already lost and the troll is voting no to ff just the drag out the agony, then we are legit being held hostage by the troll. Furthermore, even after the match, we still lose a lot of XP regardless of how we did. I can't tell you how many games I've lost due to trolls where I still earned an 'S' score.

Riot: Hey, great game! You played amazing!

Also riot: Btw, we are penalizing you severely for us putting a troll on your team and not doing anything about it.

Yay! Now let's hop in another queue and start the process all over! It's sad how much money I've given Riot because of this game when it's so terribly organized and managed. I think I'll just buy a golf simulator and spend my time doing that during the winter months when I can't play golf outside. A far better investment than the repetitive frustrations this game hands people daily.
