Kayn's forms

Anyone feel like kayn's assassin form plays useless against what he's supposed to be fighting? I've play a couple games on him now and Rhaast just always seems like the better choice, i can do the job of the assassin using the darkin form and even better with my tank stats and titanic hydra. I just feel like the assassin isn't very good at the assassin part.
