Lag Spike Near Enemies

Why am I hitting lag spikes when getting near enemies? It doesn't happen all the time, but only in certain games. This last one f****** made me furious. Any solutions? It's very annoying when you go in to engage, your abilities don't go off, and the lag spike goes away, revealing you with 25% health after an engage. I've seen multiple boards with the same issue across different regions over many years.

@ Riot - Fix your damn game before focusing on stupid skins. So money hungry. Focus on player experience.

I hope someone makes another MOBA that is as good without the b/s. Spent too much damn time and money on this game.
