Ryze and Thresh OP?

So I know I'm doing the typical thing that players are ridiculed for by losing a game to a champion and then coming to the forum to cry about it, but it's been on my mind for some time, and the match I just experienced helped motivate me to make this post.

There's some champions that receive a lot of discussion when it comes to whether or not they should be nerfed or buffed, Tristana and Rengar comes to mind. Then there are champions that, even though they see overwhelming success and take part in every game, they just seem so much more overlooked by comparison, like Thresh or Ryze . Sometimes I suspect that Thresh is overlooked because he's a support, and supports are generally overlooked anyway(to my dismay - I think supports don't receive enough credit). Ryze I don't know why; he's been a dominant force in the top lane for a long time now, with his long ranged but target abilities, trapping melee characters, and an ult that puts Vladimir 's spell vamp to shame(ridiculous considering that draining blood/life from his enemies is kind of the whole thematic point of Vladimir .

Basically, I'm wondering if these champions are a possible concern, because they shine in the meta constantly, but they never seem to receive discussion.

Everyone knows Thresh is overpowered. And so is Ryze.

I don't know what made you think that thresh is op. I main thresh and there was countless times my ass was getting kicked due to my lack of dmg on aa. Or when they focused hard my adc completly ignoring me once I used most of my abilities . Or denying me my souls. Thresh doesn't scale armor so few early game deaths will make him fall back really bad. Making me miss my skillshot costs a lot of mana.just use your head.

How is Ryze being overlooked? He has been gutted on the latest PBE now that his W and E don't scale with mana.

I honestly don't think Ryze is OP at all. The reason he was even taken top lane was because he wasn't being bullied as much as he would've mid lane since he has short range. When Ryze wasn't meta he was considered weak, now that he is, he's OP. That logic.

Ryze is getting love from RIOT's nerf hammer on PBE I believe, so you don't need to worry about that. Thresh is fine where he is. He seems incredibly strong if you land everything, but that's how it should be with ANY skill shot champion. If you land the crucial ability at the right time, you will be rewarded greatly for it. Trist got some nerfs and I'm guessing they are enough since people have shifted their crying from her to Lucian on forums. Rengar is oppressive, but he takes so much skill and has so little room for error, that I feel its "okay" (at least for now) for him to be where he is at. Eventually if more people can play him at the highest level, they will probably tone down his #'s a little bit.
