Cant reconnect to game

God DCD in the middle of a game and it wouldn't go away so I alt tabbed and closed my league client. I then opened up a fresh client and put in my password and to my surprise there is no reconnect button and I am freely roaming around the main home screen of the client. I can even get into queue and everything for another game. What the hell just happened? OP.GG even shows me in a live game
