Ranked game disconnect lost my series.

I was in a series to platinum. Had 2 wins and 1 loss. Queue up for a game, and first thing I see is user ChallengersmurfA calling mid, when his role was top. He ended up instalocking karthus. The mid laner didn't say anything until after he locked in talon, and all he said was "whats going on?" Game starts and talon disconnects at lvl 2 in the middle of the lane and dies to vlad. Talon never came back and that was my second loss. My next game I had a top xin on my team that just fed illoai and I had a rengar the was feeding ezreal. I lost my series and I'm pretty upset. I had so much motivation to get to platinum which just makes this feel even worse. Why try if I'm just going to lose like that?
