ranked teams

So I don't know if any of you feel as I do, but I was pretty upset about the lack of ranked teams moving into the 6th season of league. I wrote an email to Riot on my frustrations but should have posted it here. Below is my email to Riot.

"First off, I love your game and I love a lot of the changes you have made. Changing the game often creates a fun new way to play the game every few weeks. I have been playing since end of season 2 and I've been hooked. I also want to be clear that this isn't an email of me complaining with any of your products, I believe everything is done fairly and to the best ability of your staff. I also have no idea if this is the right email to be emailing but maybe this will find its way to the right people.

I just wanted to say how upset I was to learn ranked teams were taken away from your game. Don't get me wrong, I understand the reasons, with balancing and what not, but I think maybe the point was missed somewhere down the line. See I play in a lot of rec leagues (hockey mostly) and that's the thing I have issues with. We, the average, semi casual/semi hardcore players were doing it for the experiences. Just like in rec leagues, there will always be stronger players that shouldn't be in that league, you will get your ass kicked hard or kick some ass hard, but that's some of the charm of a rec league, it doesn't need to be balanced to be fun.

We enjoyed seeing stats for the teams, seeing who had the best kill ratio or who had the best KDA. We enjoyed seeing our team name in the loading screen and in games, because just like in rec leagues, we know we won't make it to the show, LCS, but it is fun pretending.

Overall, taking ranked fives away basically meant you were folding our league, and we get that the Dynamic que is kinda the same deal, but it really isn't. There won't be team stats, or KDA ratios, or cool names beside us in the loading screen. We aren't going to feel like a team jumping into what is basically a normal draft pick now. I know nothing will come from this, and I know nothing can be done, but I just wanted you to hear what a casual/semi hardcore player like myself feels about the changes. I will still play and love your game, still watch LCS Thursday through Sunday, keep supporting pro's streams, casters youtube channels, and host playoff parties for my friends. I love esports and I thank you guys for giving me something to do with my free time, when I'm not working. I just hope that you guys don't lose who you are along the way.

Now I am in central NA and have about 20 plus friends that play league with me. My ranked team has 9 players on it and they all feel the same as I do. But what do I know?

What do you guys think? Is anyone going to miss ranked teams?
