What is removing Green wards going to accomplish?

"People weren't buying green wards so we shifted the power to trinkets." The people who aren't buying wards are the same ones who don't even use their trinket. All this does is make it so people who actually ward now can't. Seriously, I feel like this was secretly just so they could nerf ward hops.
