So malph seems pretty strong right now

After 2 games in particular with a malph in it I gotta say he seems to be quite strong. ATM hard engage is really prevalent and you tend to see tanky hard engage champs just wreck. Which is also the same reason why certain sups that are anti engage are extremely strong right now too. The real scary thing is malph has both great engage and peel. With a good chunk of the strong champs being ad right now he only fits in this role even more. Even if you are say an ap heavy team he still has the one thing that tends to screw over APCs and that is disruption. Between his ult and slow its just a blood bath. If all this isnt enough for you he really only needs a little bit of ap and still seems to do a lot of damage.

Maybe im wrong. perhaps I just dont understand him well enough or my mechanics are just lacking but from what ive seen he seems to be doing really well atm.

Yes, Malph is fabulous in lane. Right now, I crush every lane opponent (especially with the fiora nerf). I get ganked a lot, but with my ult as a 2nd flash, I am usually fine. However, he is not a carry champ. Even if you are HUGE (I mean, not big, but 10/1 HUGE), it is still hard to win team fights if you dont have dps from your teammates.
