So when is Riot, gonna get the head of their ass and fix the fact that you can build tanky items ON ANY FUCKING CHAMPION and carry. Oh i wanna try SunFire and IceBorn and lucian... 13 and 6, "Well that worked maybe i'll try it out on kat", and build SunFire into spirit visage and CARRY THE FUCKING GAME FULL TANK ON A AP CARRY. This game is so anti fun, don't even get me started on fucking Devourer, thank the lords riot is FINALLY looking into it for patch 6.9 because getting one shot by jg trundle is SO FUN RIGHT GUYS?

  • Either nerf them or raise the price holy fuck.

Cancer = item 3110 item 3025 item 3068 item 3075 item 3065 item 3931

Thank you for reading.

I'm getting so tired of these Valkrin threads. I've watched Valkrin stream, he knows the game obviously and is an amazing player. His opinion on tank items is getting excessive though. Maybe they're strong / overtuned, sure. Given he plays support, mid, and jungle (and primarily plays wukong and Kha'zix jungle) he's not the greatest example of an unbiased person on tank balance. He would benefit from tanks being weaker.

My problem with his videos though, is that people use it as evidence when he dominates with tank items on stuff like assassins. Thing is, Valkrin often does this on his smurf. Despite the smurf being master tier, and even challenger at times, its elo is still well below Valkrin's play level. Fact is, he's a great player, top 10 in NA. He's GOING to win most of his games. He can afford to build suboptimally and still win games, especially on his smurf, especially when his teammates start off well.

I've watched him on these tanky fridays. He plays much worse in those games - it's painfully apparent that these games are suboptimal. I recall a tank-Diana game where the game went late and he landed his full combo on the enemy Jhin three times in a row while chasing him, then got collapsed on and died while Jhin survived. The enemy team won off of the ensuing 5v4. Had he built a normal Diana build, Jhin would have been dead on the first combo (definitely the second if not).

He's using his superior skill to inflict his opinions on others. Tank items may still be too strong, but they're no where near the level that people get in their heads from his videos. He's not winning these games because tank items are strong, he's winning them because he's an amazing player that can win despite a suboptimal build.

It's so true

The only way to be viable as any kind squishy champ is if this champ has some cheezy escape tool - like Zed, Leblanc, Fizz, Tristana - so forth. This is why we see so little variety in the champions. Why would I play someone like Brand, Ashe, Vel'koz when the enemy picks Zed and Malphite and burn me down, punishing me for even relatively far away from them - and see my team unable to punish Zed, because the mother-fucker just teleports instantly back to his starting position thousands of units away? Yeah, Brand deals more damage, but damage is superflous next to the ability of, actually, not dying. The game has become all about not dying, rather than killing ...

As for the tanks go, it's saddens me to see a player like me, a bronze/silver-level player, is able to climb all the way to gold IV, just from playing a tanky support. It's so ridiculous. You're cheating yourself if you play ad-carry. You're cheating yourself if you don't play an Assassin with OP escape tools mid. You're cheating yourself if you don't play tank top. You're cheating yourself if you play don't play tank jungle. Why? Because tanks deal as much damage as squishy so why not? The only tip I can give is: Don't play ad-carry. Don't play mid, unless you play someone with stypid mobility.
