Quicker pvp modes

Am I one of the only people who are generally upset dominion is not as popular as it should be? Sometimes you want to be able to hop in a quick game mode, with friends or other skilled players ( not bots ) just to play , or have fun, or test your mechanics, without the hassle of doing a long game of SR or twisted treeline, and aram is all random. So what I would like to ask any Fellow rioters out there.

Are there any plans in making a fast paced pvp oriented gamemode? Idealistically, I would love to see dominion become more popular, but if that doesn't happen. Are there any other plans in making a new pvp specific gametype that allows user to enjoy quick fun games without the tedious strategies other game modes tend to revolve around?
