Looking for help for testing

Hey guys! I wanted to come to the boards in look of some help for collecting data for Mages vs Marksmen to have a hard test to compare them and see how strong each class compares to one another and find out if Mages are really carries or not. For this test I need to determine a couple of factors to help make sure the test is as unbiased as possible. For this I need a couple of things.

• Items that will be used. So that would be builds, preferred items, situational items, etc. What are the most popular items overall. I can figure out the average gold to try and predict if it's early, mid or late game type cases.

• The most popular and strongest champions for each role. I need roughly 5-10 overall to get the largest sample size. I will measure each champion based on certain power points (early, mid, late game power points) to try and figure out how each class measures to one another.

• I am happy to include some assassins or tanks into the mix if people want to see how some of those compare but this is primarily focused on Mages and Marksmen as they are the hot topic.

The main purpose of this is just to end the debate once and for all. The hopes is with a real test, we can finally settle on what is factual and what is false. Are Mages really weak? Are Marksmen overpowered? Hopefully this can be answered. Any information is much appreciated so I can do a test that isn't shit.
