I don't understand how to carry as ADC.

I'm a bad mid-highish Silver player. I enjoy playing the ADC role a lot, but I really don't get how to carry from the role; I feel like my lane is contingent on other people (Will my support be better than theirs? Will I get camped?) and I feel like I have little to no agency over the rest of the game. As a mid, I can roam. As a jungler, I can gank. Hell, I can roam as a support, too depending on the champ I am - I have the CC and/or early game damage to make roams work as a Support.

But with ADC, I can't really do that, and I don't know how to influence the game. I can get fed or farmed, but maybe the rest of my team does poorly, and then I'm screwed. If I DON'T get fed or farmed, I'm even more useless than before. I don't know if I don't understand it or what, but I really feel like the outcome of the game isn't in my hands when I play ADC. How do I stop feeling like this and carry?

Games are entirely reliant on the jungler.

Has been like this since season 5.

Depends on the champion. The price for playing a hypercarry is a little more team reliance, while others that are a bit more mobile and cast a bit more tend to be a little more independent. Of course, this also depends on the meta as well, so I'm only talking from a general sense.

If you're intending to be a late-game carry, focus on farming early and getting objectives mid-game. Help your jungler when you can to get those dragons. Make sure you switch to blue trinket after level 9 (you need that scouting ability, you cannot put yourself in a vulnerable position blind while trying to ward). Once the teamfighting phase hits (not all metas mean you can reach lategame, might as well be honest), stick with your frontline and/or supporting champions (whoever can peel/protect you while you watch their back).

If you're playing an early/midgame marksman, focus on shutting down their carry/carries as early as possible and secure as many early objectives you can (do not try to go for second tower, but feel free to push the lane a bit if you intend on roaming/lane swapping).

Farm is the biggest thing for ADCs, ESPECIALLY now. If you aren't averaging 200 CS MINIMUM as an ADC each game, you aren't going to carry. ADCs rely more on just getting gold now more than ever and farming is the safest way. Play safe, farm, and carry.

I play stuff like Jinx Tristana Twitch so no matter what I’m useful and can carry if we get ahead. How ever the biggest way to win lane is to rush lv 2 without using your abilities and be the right spot to do it. You need 1 and half waves to gain lv 2 with your support and that’s how you win lane. If they rush lv 2 with there abilities let them the wave will push to you side the lane so they can’t do anything.

You play adc without a premade support?

Because that's what you need, once you start to play with someone and earn synergy with him you both will be able to carry games, but if you are looking for solo carry you shouldn't be playing the most team reliant class in the game.

With ADC, though i dont play it often, i like playing some champs that have CC or have interestimg things built in, like Jhin. Even if i underperform in the carrying role, i can still add some utility. The problem is, no matter where you play, you will always have to hope your team does well.... or at least hope you can out perform vs the ones that are doing well on the enemy team.

This does not mean your team is bad if they lose the lane, just that the enemy did better. It happens.
