Cost: 3400 Gold +80 Ability Power +40 Attack Damage

Passive: Unique: Heals for 15% of all damage dealt (33% effective for AoE)

Active: Lightning Bolt: Instantly deals 175-250 (+30% of Ability Power) magic damage to target champion and slows them for 40% for 2 seconds. (40 second cooldown, shared with other Hextech items.)

So this item you may see being built on the likes of Katarina, LeBlanc, etc. but when do you ever see it built on an AD champion?

And not even the hybrid champs, who this is intended for, builds the item. Akali is getting reworked so who knows what is gonna happen there.

So this item should simply be fully pushed into being AP. The AD portion drives up the cost significantly and makes the item way less appealing to APs.

Here's how I'd have the item look: Cost: 2900 Gold +80 Ability Power +10% CDR

Passive: Unique: Heals for 15% of all damage dealt (33% effective for AoE)

Active: Lightning Bolt: Instantly deals 175-250 (+30% of Ability Power) magic damage to target champion and slows them for 40% for 2 seconds. (40 second cooldown, shared with other Hextech items.)

The build path being + + + 100 Gold

Used to build it on Morde toplane. Since AP item changes he has better options

https://i.imgur.com/r0PUNrO.png Must build on my ap ezreal build,the slow allows me to land an Easy W Q after i E in or E away and the sustain helps me poke and heal up and also farm jungle camps. + cause i have hybrid scaling none of the stats get wasted at all. only thing i hate about it is the build path and cost. also your proposed idea to make it 2900g an remove the 40 ad will make the active a must rush for every ap champion + it wil be broke on shit like vlad/swain.

Kai'Sa, Jax, Kayle, anything that has both ad and ap scaling and can rush Guinsoo's can also rush Gunblade.

It's supposed to be unappealing to AP champs.

It's especially good as a hybrid item, which is why it's great for Kata; she has AD scalings, too. I think you can make a strong case that the item needs work, but we don't need to get back to WotA; that got removed for a reason.
